My Philosophy

My philosophy is that children who enjoy their therapy sessions strive with focus and  make greater progress without thinking it is work. Our goal is to eliminate the anxiety, pressure, or “performance” aspect that can happen with delayed talking and replace it with a joy for making sounds and words.

My welcoming environment builds trust between child, therapist, and families. We work together as a cohesive unit toward the quickest betterment of the child’s communication skills. As such, parental involvement is important. We include parents and/or caregivers as much as possible. We also provide families with activities that can be worked on at home.

My Approach

  • I feel the best intervention is that which the children enjoy and don’t realize it is therapy. Parents tell me that because we combine play-based therapy with parent training, they leave each session with real-life tools to use right away at home.
  • I strive for my family clients to have the best and quickest success, and therefore provide multimodal methods to the therapy process.
  • I’m constantly updating the therapy procedures with the most updated information possible, as evidenced by my three outstanding awards I have received for additional training.
  • I provide services in either English or Spanish, depending on the needs of the family.
